For Paul Freeman the journey to releasing his first single in the UK has been an interesting one. His early career as a guitarist for such artists as Shania Twain, James Blunt and Mark Owen took him to the USA where his own demos leaked into the major label community and he found himself being courted by all the majors and ended up being personally signed by music legend Clive Davies. An album followed a year later but before it could be released Davis departed from BMG and Paul found himself living in the USA, and thanks to Davis' generosity; owning all the rights to his finished album. He turned out to be the last signing of Davis' career - the first being Janis Joplin.

He decided to follow his own path in the USA and developed a flourishing career as a performer, recording artist and even threw in a bit of acting. His self released EP sold 60,000 copies and he was the only unsigned artist to chart on the billboard download chart in 2010. He toured up and down North America with Joe Cocker, Todd Rundgren, Edwin McCain, Shaun Colvin, Brandi Carlile, Los Lobos and many more. He also starred in an ABC TV 12 part web series and featured in another web series hotes by Todd Rundgren about literature. His songs have been extensively featured on US TV. Born in Newport he is now bringing his music back to the UK via Estupendo Universal Records.
